The town of Chieti is located on a hill, strategically between the Adriatic Sea and the Majella mountain massif. It is one of the oldest cities in the country, but is often passed by.

At the top of the hill is the historic part of Chieti Alto, while the new part can be found at the foot of the hill.

You will still find many remains of Roman times here, such as the remains of a temple and a theater. If you are interested in archeology, also visit the archaeological museum.

Furthermore, it is a lively place with 56,000 inhabitants and plenty of shops and terraces to keep you entertained.
