One of the most beautiful panoramas in the Ardennes

The Plateau of Freyr, near Dinant, is one of those places you won't soon forget. From this natural vantage point you have a breathtaking view of Freyr Castle and the meandering Meuse winding deep through the valley.

An easily accessible viewpoint

The viewpoint is easy to reach. Follow Avenue Général Hodges until you see a small parking lot on the side of the road. From there, it's just a short walk to the plateau. An ideal stop during a day trip around Dinant or a picnic with a view.

The combination of steep cliffs, green forests and the magnificent castle below makes this viewpoint unique in the Ardennes. Especially at sunrise or sunset, the view is downright magical.
