In the heart of Manhay you will find the Manhay History 44 Museum, dedicated to one of the most intense episodes of the Battle of the Bulge. Here you relive the fierce fighting that took place in and around Manhay, Grandmenil and Dochamps in late 1944.

The museum was completely renovated and gives an impressive picture of the winter of 1944-1945, with objects, documents and realistic scenes that take you to a decisive moment in history.

Unique collection from the region

The museum displays an exceptional collection of:

• original weapons and uniforms

• vehicles and equipment

• field mail, maps and personal belongings of soldiers

• reconstructions of battle scenes and trenches

Because all of the items were found in the immediate Manhay area, history feels especially close here.

The tour takes you through several themed rooms where the chaos of the winter war is made tangible. Thanks to audiovisual presentations, stories of local residents and authentic testimonies, you get a deep insight into what really happened here.
