Les Lacs du Morvan
A touch of Canada

Lake adventure

The Morvan Regional Natural Park is known for its impressive silence, pure nature and ... its lakes. Large, mirror-smooth expanses of water that invite adventure, sport and ultimate relaxation. Whether you want to swim, hike, canoe or just enjoy the peace and quiet: the lakes of the Morvan have it all.

Lac des Settons - Canadian atmosphere in the heart of the Morvan

Lake Settons is brimming with possibilities. Step into a canoe and paddle to the large island in the middle of the lake, home to numerous bird species. It's like entering a new continent for a moment. If you prefer to move to the rhythm of the water, you can paddle a pedal boat, surf or opt for a leisurely horseback ride along the shores. Mountain bikers will find challenging trails through vast coniferous forests. The atmosphere? Dense pine forest, clear water and pure wilderness - it sometimes feels like being in Canada.

Lac des Settons is located in the Regional Natural Park du Morvan, in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region, Nièvre department.

Lac de Pannecière - panoramic road with wow effect

One of our favorite discoveries is the small mountain road along Lake Pannecière. A narrow, rural panoramic route that treats you to sweeping views of the highlands of the Morvan: forests full of giant pines, rolling hills and a landscape that seems infinite. During our drive, we passed the charming villages of Ouroux-en-Morvan and Montsauche-les-Settons, and drove right through imposing woodlands where the pines seem to reach to the sky.

Lac de Pannecière is also located in the heart of the Morvan Regional Natural Park, in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté (Nièvre) region.
