Dijon
Capital of Burgundy

When King François I entered Dijon via the Route de Troyes, he is said to have exclaimed:
"What an impressive city, there are a hundred towers!"
And to this day, that impression remains unchanged. Dijon manages to seduce with its rich history, magnificent architecture and refined gastronomy - exactly what you expect from the capital of Burgundy.

Dijon owes its grandeur to the 14th and 15th centuries, when the city was the political and cultural heart of one of Europe's most influential courts: the Court of the Dukes of Burgundy. You can still feel the atmosphere of that golden age in the palaces, mansions and monumental squares.

In the northernmost part of Quartier Centre-ville-sud, wander through charming shopping streets full of boutiques, cafes and restaurants. Here you will taste Dijon's true art of living: elegant, Burgundian and always a touch surprising.

You won't get bored!
