The chalet is located next to the Mercantour National Park, a nature reserve in the French Alps with a striking amount of wildlife. It is one of the most rich and varied parks in France. You have a good chance of encountering herds of sheep and animals such as chamois , ibex and the mischievous Alpine marmot. You can hear these animals whistling when you come near them.
Pause for a moment and search the sand hills or small rocks. Then you will see them automatically.

Numerous hiking trails start directly from the house; from short and simple to walking over the mountain tops for days.
