La Werisienne is a cozy cottage-style vacation bungalow, in the heart of the Ardennes in the village of Weris, one of the most beautiful villages in Wallonia.
The house is completely detached with a lovely private garden, several seating areas and a bbq area.
Located on a very quiet lane, from where you can walk up into the woods, and down into the village with cozy terraces.

In the picturesque village of Wéris - officially one of the most beautiful villages in Wallonia - you will find this charming cottage. An ideal place for peace seekers, hikers and cyclists, with the woods and the famous megaliths within walking distance.
The cottage is located on a quiet street and offers a view over the village. Through a wooden gate you step into the private garden, where several seats and a fixed barbecue invite you to long evenings outside.
Inside you are welcomed in a cozy living room with sofa and armchair around the fireplace. Large windows overlook the garden and provide plenty of light. The round dining table forms the transition to the open kitchen, which is fully equipped with dishwasher, refrigerator, oven, microwave, kettle and Senseo machine, among other things.
The house has three bedrooms. On the garden side a double room (1.80 m), on the front a second double room (1.60 m) and in addition a cozy room for the kids with bunk beds and sink. The bathroom has a bathtub with shower, sink and toilet.
The spacious garden surrounding the house completes the stay. With several sitting areas, lots of greenery and plenty of privacy, this is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy nature. Parking is easy on the private path or in front of the house.

Very cozy cottage. Very clean, everything is there. Ideal for a family. Beautiful, well-kept garden. However, there are holes in the bushes (which serve as a fence). So for small dogs with a tendency to run away, beware. But otherwise the cottage has everything to go back to!
Spent a wonderful week with my partner and our dog in this charming cottage. It may be a bit older, but for that very reason it has a lot of character - and everything you need is there.
The location is perfect: quiet and close to the forest. The area is great for hiking, and there are surprisingly good restaurants nearby. We thoroughly enjoyed it!

We thoroughly enjoyed the lovely nicely decorated house, and especially the beautiful surroundings, where we took beautiful walks with our dog Wooly. Definitely worth repeating.
Have very much enjoyed our stay in Wéris. Beautiful village beautiful walks nearby and surrounding area. Our impression of the cottage was first wow when entering nicely decorated and cozy. But after a few days we saw that it needs a lot of improvement here and there. Single glass in the windows, bathroom spotless, kitchen utensils were very clean with the exception of the oven. That one is a disaster. Woodwork outside is also in need of replacement.
Very nice and large sunny garden, cozy to sit in and lots of play area for the dog. Fully fenced in also a plus. Ended up having a good stay thanks in part to the nice weather.
We as a family had the opportunity to spend a wonderful long weekend in this cottage. We experienced it as a wonderful home. It is not the most modern house, but everything is there and everything functions....and the cottage was just clean.
The surroundings are fantastic and from the cottage you can go in all directions. At night it is mouse quiet....you hear absolutely nothing. A very pleasant experience. Also in spring and summer it should be beautiful because the garden is beautiful.
We had 1 small problem for which we called the owner....but he does not speak Dutch and we do not speak French.....but fortunately you can then fall back on Astrid of Belle Gites whose 06 number you receive in the confirmation. She also answers her phone directly and already has an answer and if not she will arrange it for you.

Had a wonderful vacation with the family. The weather was great and we spent very little time inside for that reason. The cottage is completely detached with a nice, sheltered garden around it. Two swings for the children, a simple garden set and a functional picnic table. The cottage itself could use some attention in terms of maintenance.
Although it looks clean and the living room has recently been refreshed, this seems to have been mainly an aesthetic approach. Window frames, doors, hinges and locks, the wood around the cottage, all deserve attention, because it squeaks, creaks and draughts quite a bit. Especially in the fall or winter, I think you are heating here largely for the sparrows. The mattresses are also in need of replacement I guess, because you keep rolling towards the middle.
Short and good; in terms of location and surroundings definitely an 8.5. In terms of facilities in the house a 7.5. In terms of maintenance/comfort I would say a 6.5. We recommend this cottage for couples or families, there are plenty of bedrooms, a spacious bathroom, but the living room is somewhat limited in size. I can so imagine that in the winter with four adults it soon feels a bit claustrophobic.

We had brought our dog with us. The location of the house is perfect, you are right in the woods. Also the large fenced garden was a true play paradise for the dog!

Fine bathroom and good beds. The sitting area slightly less comfortable although we had little trouble with that thanks to the beautiful weather. Prima garden around also great for the dogs. And in a beautiful walking environment.
Lovely cottage, we enjoyed the peace and quiet and space. Our "adolescent" children were delighted with the good wifi and Netflix. The cottage was fully equipped just like the description and pictures shown. Nice cozy decor which everyone likes. We had a great vacation.
Spent a week with partner and dog in this dated but very nice cottage. Everything was there and we had a great time. Close to the forest and very quiet. Nearby you can walk well and the restaurants are very good.
I spent a week alone in this sweet, cute cottage. The location is nice: not quite secluded, but you can walk right into the forest. The village is very quiet, there's not that much to do, but if you're going for a quiet vacation, that's just fine. The cottage is very nicely decorated, the fireplace and the bathroom are lovely.
Comfortable house with lovely naturally landscaped garden. Because the garden borders on three sides of the house there is always both sun and shade. Located in beautiful surroundings: within walking distance of the village of Weris and you walk from the house into nature. For children there are sports activities in the area such as kayaking and mountain biking. The only disadvantage is that the peace and quiet and the beautiful singing of birds is sometimes disturbed by work in the area such as cutting grass or sawing. But as mentioned: this is occasionally the case, still plenty of time left in which to enjoy the peace.
In a lovely quiet area free standing cottage with all the facilities you need with young children, enclosed large garden, washer and dryer. Cottage is aged but nicely maintained, games and plenty to do in the garden and surroundings. Astrid is easy to reach and happy to help with tips etc. Further enjoyed, plenty of supermarkets etc about 10 min drive. All in all a great base for a midweek in the Ardennes.
Fine house with spacious garden, both pretty village and nature a short walk away. Plenty of cycling and walking opportunities from vacation home.
Facilities in the house are ample, it is fully equipped and decor is cozy!
