Warm and cozy
Through a quiet street you come to this charming cottage. At the front is a cozy front yard with Ardennes bricks and a nostalgic key that opens the door. Once inside, you are welcomed by a warm and stylish interior.
The open kitchen is the heart of the house. Here you will find everything you need: induction hob, oven, microwave, refrigerator, extractor hood, dishwasher, kettle and coffee maker. Around the round dining table you can enjoy a meal together overlooking the garden.
The living room breathes atmosphere and coziness. Several seating areas invite you to sit down around the wood-burning stove while the evening slowly falls outside.
On the second floor there are two bedrooms. On the garden side is a room with a double bed of 160 cm, a double comforter, a closet and quiet, understated furnishings. The second bedroom is on the street side and has two 90 cm mattresses that make up a double comforter. The built-in closet with paneled doors and Scandinavian style with heart details give this room a cozy feel.
The bathroom is spacious and finished in sleek concrete stucco. You'll find a walk-in shower, a sink and a toilet.
You can reach the backyard and terrace through the kitchen or the side of the house. Here are several seating areas, deck chairs, a wood stove and a BBQ ready for use. Everything is decorated in Provencal style and offers a beautiful view over the valley.
Parking is easy at the front of the house.
Again, the cottage was top notch.
No complaints.
Nav our review from last year, a fence was put up so the neighbors' dogs don't catch on so easily.
Landlord only speaks French but is very friendly
The cottage is in a small hamlet of a few houses. We had fantastic weather, so imagined ourselves in France. Environment is beautiful and there are also many cycling ( junctions) to make. Beds, shower and kitchen are good. Charming cottage that perhaps could use a little more maintenance / cleaning (new toilet seat, more comfortable sofa). But we absolutely had a wonderful, quiet week!
Fine cottage with all the facilities we wanted. The surroundings are very beautiful. With our little son it was sometimes careful because of the steps and the like, but we were told that in advance.
We ended up not bringing the dog and that turned out to be a good choice, as there are a few feisty dogs next door and also further down the street.
All in all a wonderful week and plenty to do in the neighborhood, tip is the town of Weris and especially the red and green walk on top of the hill towards Heyd.
Good and well cared for house in a nice area.
Only point is the neighbor's dogs that continuously bark when you walk into the garden.
You scare the hell out of those animals.
Will try to book here again next year
Nice vacation home, near beautiful sights. The owner is very friendly and helpful. We were there in September, the sun was low in the backyard and did not rise above the bushes. We pointed this out to the owner and that very afternoon he trimmed all the bushes! Chapeau for such an owner!
We had a wonderful weekend! Beautiful weather, walked along the river and canoed, visited Durbuy and of course enjoyed the cozy cottage. Because of the beautiful weather, the neighbor had put up a BBQ and parasol. Very nice.
Really beautiful surroundings!
