Adventure between Heyd and Lignely

One of the most beautiful and surprising hikes in the Ardennes is without a doubt the Dragon's Ridge. Here, on the ridge between Heyd and Lignely, runs the Col du Rideû - Belgium's only officially recognized mountain pass.

As you follow the path eastward, you reach the Crown, a high point of 380 meters. Along the way, the deciduous forests slowly turn into a narrow, winding path. The rocky points protruding from the ground resemble the dorsal scales of a dragon - a spectacular sight! The landscape feels almost otherworldly: mossy rocks, deep chasms on either side and an atmosphere that seems straight out of Tolkien's world. A hike that will leave you breathless.
