Waking up in an ancient mountain village, at almost 2000 meters above sea level. The air is fresh, the silence impressive, and as soon as you open the shutters you see it: a view that is never the same. Clouds pass slowly over the mountain peaks, sunlight glides over the rocks and meadows, and occasionally you hear only the sound of a babbling brook in the distance. Here, in Les Ru, Italy, time doesn't seem to exist. The small village is tucked between the mighty mountain walls of the Aosta Valley, literally at the end of the inhabited world. The road stops here, the trails begin. There is no traffic, no noise, no rush. Only nature, with its valleys full of alpine lakes, glaciers, waterfalls and endless hiking trails. Amidst this backdrop is Chalet Aquila, a traditional mountain cottage - or "baita" as the Italians say, built of stone and wood, lovingly restored by a local family that is step by step revitalizing the entire village. Some houses have already been beautifully refurbished, others are still waiting their turn. The whole exudes authenticity, simplicity and charm.

Chalet Aquila: Authentic mountain luxury with panoramic views

High above the village, where the air is pure and the silence tangible, lies Chalet Aquila. This authentic stone mountain house has been completely renovated and offers a wonderful combination of historic charm and modern comfort. From the balcony you can enjoy a wide and unforgettable view of the picturesque village and the surrounding mountain peaks.

Atmosphere and comfort
Inside, you will be embraced by a warm interior with robust wooden beams and natural materials. At the heart of the living room, a modern pellet stove provides cozy warmth and a cozy atmosphere during the evenings. The open living space with wooden dining table is the centerpiece of the house, while the kitchen is a characterful blend of rustic materials and contemporary convenience.

Modern convenience
The ground-floor bathroom has been completely renovated and offers modern comfort with a spacious walk-in shower, bidet and a stylish washbasin made of weathered wood. Thanks to central heating throughout the house, the chalet is a pleasant base all year round.

Peace and quiet
Via a characteristic staircase you reach the upper floor with two cozy bedrooms under the sloping wooden roof. Outside you have a private garden with picnic table and barbecue, ideal for relaxing in the mountain sun. Chalet Aquila is a place for those who love authenticity, tranquility and the overwhelming nature of the mountains, far away from mass tourism.

I wanted to tell you that our vacation in the cottage Aquila in Ru, Bionaz was fantastic. The cottage was super nice. Nice decoration, location was top notch and the view phenomenal. Grateful for meeting the people in Ru and Laura, please put it on the map especially.
Greetings and maybe until the next booking.
