The rural style of the house blends harmoniously with its surroundings. The spacious garden with covered veranda invites you to enjoy the Ardennes landscape in any season. With only limited mowing of the grass around the house, the garden flows seamlessly into the surrounding meadows and valleys.
La Terre Ferme is the ideal place to spend time with people close to you. During a photo shoot in front of the house, we invited friends to cook, drink and walk together. It was a weekend to reflect on what really matters: good company, good food and the peace of nature.
An evening walk past the grazing horses, followed by a crackling fire inside... La Vie en Ardennes est Belle!

A completely detached, classicist building offers impressive views all around. Large blue farmhouse doors welcome you to this special place. Upon entering, you enter a spacious hall with provisions for coats, shoes and boots.
The huge living room is the heart of the house. Comfortable sofas and seating are arranged around the XL fireplace. The interior combines contemporary design with exotic touches inspired by the owners' world travels. Large windows let in plenty of light, creating cozy reading nooks. A grand piano invites an impromptu concert.
In the living area is a robust dining table three meters long, with room for eight people. A fine place to eat, work or play games together, overlooking the surrounding valleys.
The open kitchen has a fully equipped kitchen island and invites communal cooking. Right next to the kitchen is a pantry with an American refrigerator and additional storage space. The kitchen is further equipped with a dishwasher, a 90 cm wide hob, oven, kettle, Nespresso and a traditional coffee maker.
For those who want to work or read quietly, there is an office furnished with a library full of historical books. At the desk you will spontaneously feel like writing an old-fashioned letter.
On the first floor is a spacious bedroom with a double bed of 200 cm (with two single comforters). This room has a private bathroom with walk-in shower, bathtub and sink, and is suitable for guests with reduced mobility.
An impressive wooden staircase takes you to the second floor. The loft is filled with books and cozy reading nooks, overlooking the living room below. Please note that this floor is not suitable for small children.
Two spacious bedrooms with double beds of 160 cm (each with two single comforters) share a bathroom with walk-in shower, sink and toilet. There is also a children's room furnished as a guest room, with two single box-spring beds of 80 cm.
The garden is fully enclosed with hedges and fences and offers plenty of seating and dining areas under various canopies. There is a BBQ available. Enjoy the peace, sunshine and panoramic views over the valleys here.
At the front of the house there is parking for four cars. On the first floor is a storage room with cushions, deck chairs and other outdoor equipment.

A house with a heart - warm, cozy and inviting. We felt right at home. The weather was fantastic, so we thoroughly enjoyed long evenings under the covered patio.

Very pleasant house with sympathetic owner. We felt at home in the beautiful Terre Ferme. We came with the children and grandchild and the house is tremendously well laid out for a pleasant week together there to work, cook and socialize. Beautiful surroundings, nice quiet walks from the house. Houffalize is nearby with another blissful Ardennes butcher and nice atmosphere. Definitely come back in the summer. Because very nice inviting garden with blissful terrace and with a view to say U to. Thank you for renting this beautiful cottage.
Last weekend with 8 friends held our annual reunion for the first time at La Terre Ferme. What a beautiful, light and spacious house with on the south side a wide view of the Ardennes. And also easily accessible. With 2 bathrooms, a kitchen island, a large dining table and a spacious living room, it completely fulfilled our wishes. We certainly hope to return here next year.
Very large and beautiful house. Lots of possibilities in the beautiful surroundings. The house does start to show some 'wear and tear' here and there. A little TLC is needed :-) to be back TOP. We had a very nice time. Too bad there was no internet or TV that week due to technical failure . Thanks also to Frank for the good advice.
Fantastic house, spacious in layout with beautiful views. However, overdue maintenance (including construction and polish) and lack of window screens adversely affected the vacation enjoyment. Many mosquito bites did not do the night's sleep any good, the stove is really in need of replacement, the loose outdoor hatch kept many from sleeping. So my advice to the manager is to give the house a good once over because it is well worth it! 1200 Euro for 7 days is a lot of money where "the ravages of time" does not justify this amount.
Terre Ferme is a wonderful vacation home, beautiful location, cozy furnishings, plenty of kitchenware, fantastic garden and views. We will come again this winter.
Second time we visited this cottage and again impressed with the fantastic views and quiet location. The open living space creates a very cozy atmosphere and all facilities are available. We will definitely go back!
Once again it was a beautiful place, we enjoyed it with the whole family!
Lovely house, very tastefully decorated, high quality, nice and spacious and cleverly laid out. Fine garden that is completely enclosed with fencing. Great for grandchild who has the space but cannot run away. Disadvantage is that the closets in the upstairs bedrooms are not wardrobes and you would basically have to use everything in the walk-in closet downstairs. You can't get the clothes out of the suitcases. In addition, the Wifi is weak if you have several cell phones connected to it. Better to install additional Wifi boosters/amplifier. We have already booked again for September 2023.
Attractive house with all amenities. Beautifully decorated and with lots of space. The garden was lovely and large with several seating areas of which the veranda was a topper! The location is quiet and enjoy the view every day. We had a great week!
A wonderful Pentecost weekend with 6 people stayed in la terre ferme in an environment where it is beautiful hiking. Despite the rain you can sit on the porch and the dog could loose in the enclosed garden with a beautiful view. It was spacious cooking, everyone's corner of the kitchen island which was also equipped with a good oven. We would love to come again.
A lovely house as a starting point for catching up, relaxing, hiking and biking. We enjoyed the 100% silence, as far as traffic noise is concerned, which is always a relief when you live in the middle of the Netherlands. And of course the porch and garden! Our comment we have already given in an email, nice if in the night a window or door can be on tilt and turn position as far as the downstairs bedroom is concerned.

Very nice and spacious house with a separate office where our daughter could retire to study. So this week the study could be perfectly combined with walks in the beautiful nature together with our dog. Also large garden with beautiful view. So everyone satisfied!
