In front of you is a stately Ardennes cottage, built in natural stone and with ornate brick arches around the windows. The path of rustic cobblestones leads you to the front door, where time seems to slow down.
Inside, you are greeted by a hallway with a beautiful stone floor that immediately sets the tone: authentic and warm. From here, wooden stairs lead up to the bedrooms, and access to the living spaces downstairs.
Discover the charm of Le Sequoia
The kitchen is the heart of the house. This is where modern convenience and nostalgia meet: a sleek white kitchen unit with oven, stove and dishwasher opposite a sturdy wooden dining table where long meals await. A sideboard adds extra character, as if old and new meet effortlessly here. From the kitchen you step straight into the living room, where sofas around the fireplace invite you to linger for hours or simply enjoy the crackling fire. An easy chair by the window, with a handmade table next to it, is the perfect place to sit back and take in nature outside. For those who do feel like some entertainment, a clever projector is available, so that no television interferes with the room's charm.
On the first floor, you will also find an additional room that can serve as a guest room or children's room. With a bunk bed, desk and plenty of space to play or work, this is a practical, versatile place.
Upstairs, the tranquility of two bedrooms awaits. The first is spacious and authentic, with Ardennes stone walls and a large arched window that lets light playfully fall in. The second bedroom exudes Scandinavian simplicity: whitewashed walls, a minimalist interior and a skylight that offers a view of the stars at night. The bathroom completes the floor: spacious and comfortable, with a bathtub, separate shower, toilet and a wide sink. The natural materials give the space a calm, harmonious feel.
Around the house extends a large, enclosed garden. In front of the house is a cozy area with a barbecue, ideal for summer evenings. To the side of the garden is a large wooden dining table inviting for long meals in the open air, surrounded by the greenery of the Ardennes. You can easily park your car next to or in front of the house, although the slope can be a bit challenging in winter.
Le Sequoia is more than a vacation home: it is a place where history meets comfort.
A nice comfortable cottage, everything is provided. Pleasant atmosphere, nice decoration. Well equipped kitchen, decent pots and pans, a good coffee machine. Nice that it was a living kitchen. Cozy fireplace with mood lighting. In the morning we had our coffee overlooking the beautiful garden. A blissful place to wake up. Personally, I would have put the bed differently in the master bedroom because I bumped my head several times against the beam (in the pictures the bed was different...). Nice large bathroom, regret that the shower faucet gave a not slightly harder jet, but that's just a detail. The communication with Astrid was really nice. Beautiful surroundings for hiking. Now and then you could hear the motorway but the singing of the birds surpassed everything. The garden is not enclosed, so sometimes I had to keep an eye on my dogs when other dogs walked by. We would love to come back.
Very charming house , renovated with attention to the original structure . downstairs bedroom not really ok , double bed missing as well as extra shower/lavabo eg . Living ok , leather seat not ok actually can not sit . Kitchen nicely equipped but old small table and jack shit chairs, not really suitable to spend long table evenings as described in the description of the house. Upstairs 2 bedrooms and bathroom ok , nice and large and practical . Outside a terrace adjacent to the window of the living room is missing, now there is nothing. Environment top and walking starts at the house. We had a nice weekend with our family of 6p and dog.
We stayed a midweek at Le Sequoia with our dog. What a beautiful place and what a huge garden! Plenty to do for the nature lovers that we are. Also the dog was super excited because of the space he had. The house itself is spacious, authentic Ardennes and stands on a quiet street with a few other houses and nothing but greenery around you. Enjoy!
Attractive house and beautiful surroundings.
We had a nice vacation. Nice cottage with lovely garden. Bird watching from the sitting area in the living room. Tranquility and space. Highly recommended!
A timeless stay in this charming cottage. With every glance we discovered details that made us dream a little more.... Everything we needed was there, so we lacked nothing. We had a great weekend. THANK YOU
Lovely and quiet! Spacious house, especially good for 4 people and 2 dogs. Cleaning +/- and unclean air in hallway and small upstairs bedroom.
Had a wonderful stay at Le Sequoia! Beautiful, spacious home and everything you need is there. Very nicely renovated. Beautiful surroundings where we did many nice walks together. Highly recommended and topper!
